Forged in the Frost: The Value of Not Being OK"
Title: Why Your Best Version is Born in the Dark
"There is a specific kind of 'permafrost' that settles in after a massive loss. Whether it’s a heartbreak that leaves you rolling in your grave or an existential crisis that makes every breath feel like acid, the first thing people tell you is to 'get over it.'
I’m here to tell you: It is okay to not be okay. In my own journey, I’ve realized that being 'beyond just broke' is actually a prerequisite for the forge. You can’t be 'Hephaestus' if you haven’t felt the heat of the fire. When you are 'trudging toward the gallows' of your old life, you are actually clearing space for the 'next you' to return.
The Law of the Temporary
Pain, like the leaves changing in the fall, is a season. It feels like a 'grueling struggle' because it is. But your charts and your soul know something your brain forgets when it’s 'paralyzed by stasis': This is temporary. The cracks forming from the stress? Those aren't signs that you’re breaking; those are the places where the light of your 'spectacular triumph' is going to shine through. You are currently 'shuffling the deck.' You are 'polishing your insides' by acknowledging the harsh realities.
If you’re sitting in the dark right now, remember: the sun doesn't just rise; it's forged. Don't chase the clout—chase the version of yourself that refuses to be a second choice.
It’s cold out right now. Succumb to the frost bite for a moment if you have to. Mourn the past self. But know that you are returning to a sense of self that is 'famously loveable' and 'relentless.'
Keep deciding to breathe. The triumph is coming."
